I have made a patch that generates drones. Lets call this generative. . . I use feedback on my spring reverb. I only use one filter. The drone is structured by a triangle lfo and 2 comparators. It's tricky to balance the patch to give varying and interesting results. The drone is made with a 100% analog modular synth.

This piece is controlled by attenuated noise. It has a pulse. Slow, but a pulse.

Semi-generative melodic analog sequence drenched in delay and reverb. Key of c pentatonic minor, 96bpm. Patch notes:. Moog matriarch sequenced by intellijel metropolis, filtered by ssf stereo dipole and reverb by noise engineering desmodus versio. Minimally post-processed in ableton with compression, eq, and transient control.

A patch generating triggers not that random. . . The triggers are triggering an envelope generator and a sample and hold. The sample and hold cv is quantized following a minor 7th chord rules. Hope you understand. . . Pardon my english. Why this. Answer. I have to start adding something like this to my patches. But i use 3 lfos for this :-/ thats about all i got - right now. Started with me playing with doepfer a-146-2 as gate delay. Went on using it as a wave shaper. Went on and on. . . It's not a very big patch. But the outcome is nice. It's a mix of chaos and random. Yes i'm using jerk off and sloth. Analog modular synth fun.

Had a patch. Changed speed, attack and delay time. Got this. A bubbly noisy landscape. At the end i dissconect the "main lfo". The one thats makes things advance. But beyond that i get sounds.

I'm getting to know a comparator. Why haven't i used it before?here i'm using, let's say, 2,5 comparators. Extremely electronic. Yes!look at those waves i'm creating!no filter! this is addative synthesis. Long loop.
